Happy New Year

So it's January 1. What better time to make some resolutions? I know, it's cliche. I could make a resolution any day of the year, I don't need to wait until January 1 to decide to make a change. But, I'm not the best about making life changes on any old day, so maybe making a bigger deal about it will help me stick to it. I'm not going to focus on previous New Year's resolution failures, such as: go back to school to get a nursing degree, read the Bible every day, recover from my Starbucks addiction, and eat more green vegetables.

Ahem. Focus!

This year's resolutions are centered around a theme: more, and less.

I want to be more active.

More organized.

More patient.

I want to give more to those less fortunate than I.

Less cynical.

To be less worried and anxious about the status of our second adoption, and instead, have more faith

And to borrow a verse from my brother Erik, a really cool guy (he's related to me, after all!) who now has his own blog: "‎He must become greater and greater, and I must become less and less." John 3:30 (NLT)

What are your resolutions for 2012?
